Who wouldn’t want to be a GREMLIN? They are the Best! The shadows behind the scenes! The BUMP in the night! What mischief are those miscreants up to? You never know, but you do know it will be fun! GREMLINS are the folks that help throw the event itself.

What madness is requested?

We request that all gremlins put in 2 shifts of five hours on Friday the 13th and Saturday the 14th of September. There are available shifts the days prior and after the event in limited quantities. This will be scheduled on a first come case-by-case basis.

What mischief is available?

GATE/GREETER
These gremlins are responsible for checking in the participants of the DARK KARNIVAL and equipping them with the appropriate swag and loot for their journey into the unknown. May their meaty sacrifice fuel the realms of the warp!

PARKING/TRAFFIC
These gremlins are responsible for maintaining the flow of traffic. Keeping the main road clear of vehicles. Ensuring the parking lot is filled in appropriately to prevent jams and provide maximum space for parking.

PLACEMENT
These gremlins help map out the event itself! They also assist in the Badlands (open camping) where the participants will be staying. There will be three areas and will be filled from the back to front in a specific order to maximize the available space as entry happens.

BAR SUPPORT
These gremlins are BAR Mischief! They run the BAR and are responsible for keeping up with who has the proper wristbands for bar access. Assessing/ keeping up with the bar and its patrons while having an all-round good time.

WAR GREMLINS
These gremlins will be running THE WAR OF BALLOONS!! This is a limited shift as it will only be happening on Saturday. Assign players to teams. Help reload/make ammunition. Dye with food coloring the ammo for the teams. Sell more “life” packs. Play on a team and get them to win!!! Help in final cleanup.

ENTROPY GREMLIN
Gremlins working the destruction and tear down process of the event. This is a shift of limited availability to occur only on Monday 9/16/24 and Tuesday 9/17/24.

BUILDER GREMLIN
Gremlins working the creation and warping of the world summoning forth the DARK KARNIVAL from the depths of terror and madness. This is a shift of limited availability to occur on Wednesday 9/11/24 and Thursday 9/12/24.

WORX GREMLIN
Gremlins running around behind the scenes (and sometimes all over them), making sure the show goes on and things run smoothly. These shadow spawns are the devious miscreants at the edge of your vision cackling in delight as the world stops spinning and the tune of discord hold sway. They set the melody and lay the lines of power for the DARK to consume! Attending the ARENA with KHAOS and KING MAX or ensuring a creative act doesn’t light themselves on fire…accidentally. Worx run the sound, stage, and lighting to help spin the shiny web of delight and support the event overall. They run game booths and help in other capacities. The general lifeblood of the Beast that is the DARK KARNIVAL.
